Companies all over the worlds, especially the Indian one are luring their gadgets friendly customers with best of the best features in Tablets. Innovation and pioneering are their motto. It seems that Tablets are raining and flooded in the markets. The manufacturers are trying to cash the vast consumers of Indian markets. To some credit of it goes to Aakash promotion strategy, yet Aakash didn’t fit up to the expectation of people. However, Aakash2 that scheduled to launch in May, expect to remove all the glitches of Aakash. Some of the best tables with brief description is being below.

HCL ME U1, MyEdu Tab

HCL info has come out with two tablets considering the different requirements of consumers. The HCL ME U1 and MyEdu Tab is available with range of Rs. 7, 999 and Rs. 11, 499 respectively. The 7- inch HCL ME U1 is supported by Android ice cream sandwich operating system, having a processor of 1GHz. The other features are RAM: 512, Internal Memory: 4GB can be expanded to 32 GB, also Wi-Fi connectivity.
MyEdu Tab has been made for students in Schools and colleges with lots of educational facilities.

Micromax Tablet ‘FunBook’

The seven-inch Micromax FunBook has designed for educational sector and also targeting the youth.
The price of the Funbook is Rs. 6499 and available in two models- Slate Grey and Midnight Black. It has Processor: 1.22 GHz, Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, 4 GB internal memory including with other features. The tablets supports 3G connectivity.

Xtab A10

The 7-inch multi-touch screen tablet having Android 4.0 OS, processor of 1.5 GHz and 512 RAM. It has been developed by NXG electronics with a price range of Rs. 5, 490. You may get it in two models-4GB and 8GB version. Xtab A10 support 32 GB external memory with SD card.


Bizz Group are coming with six economy tablets with price range Rs. 3, 200 and Rs. 12, 000. BizzBook B7i1 having price Rs. 3, 200/- with the following features: 7-inch touch screen, Android 2.2 OS, Battery backup: 2 to 4 hours.

Reliance Tablet

The 7 inch sensitive multi-touch screen Reliance Tablet with Android 2.3 OS and rear camera: 2MP and VGA camera is the talking point of gadget lovers. The cost of the tablet will vary from Rs 3,500-5,000/-. The display screen is 800X480 pixels with external memory support up to 32 GB.

Wishtel Ira

Wishtel is also not behind the race and has launched two tablets at the range of Rs 4, 000 and Rs 5500. The 7- inch tablet supports about 26 languages along with Wi-Fi and 3G. Memory is 2 GB that can be extended up to 32 GB.

E-Tutor Tablet

E-tutor tablet is the joint venture of Technopark-based e-tutor and Oztern Technology. It is available with Rs. 12, 000 and is the first cloud based tablet in the country. The tablet has been designed by keeping in mind the requirements of students from class1 to 12.

Lava Tablet

The lava mobile has launch 7- inch capacitive touch screen tablet, Android 2.3 OS with processor 1 GHz at the price of Rs. 5,500.

A Tabin

A Tabin is the joint venture of AcrossWorlds and Go-Tech. This is the seven inch touch screen tablet with Android facility. It is equipped with Open Source Tool so that the students will be benefited to access free contents and materials. It will be also useful for teacher. The price of the tablet is Rs. 5, 000.

Ubislate 7+

Ubislate7+ is the advanced version of Aakash is fitted with better attractive features and specifications. Microprocessor: cortexA8-700 MHz, RAM: 256MB, OS: Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, It has internal memory 2GB that can be expanded up to 32 GB.

Zync Z-990

Zync Z-990 has 4 GB in-built memory and has been launched by Zync company with the price range of Rs. 8, 990. The tablet Z-990 is having Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The 4 GB memory is expandable up to 32 GB.


It has been designed by Intex Technology with the price at Rs. 11, 990. It has a capacitive touch screen. Wi-Fi is there. It has 8 GB memory that can be extended up to 32 GB. It has the batter back up of 6 hours. LAN adaptor facility is also there.


CalssPad is the brainchild of Rohit Pande, a graduate of IIT, Delhi. It has 1.3 GHz processor with seven hours batter back up. In-built memory is 4GB and can be extended up to 8 GB. The thre variants of ClassPad are 7, 8 and 10-inch. It’s cost will be vary from Rs. 7, 500 to 14, 000.

BSNL Tablets

BSNL tablets made by Noida based Pantel Technologies having the price range of Rs 3,499 – Rs 12,500. It has three variants Penta IS701R, Penta Tpad_ws704c, Penta Tpad WS802C

Aakash Tablet

Aakash with price Rs. 2, 999 is the cheapest one, but facing so many glitches. It has a resolution of 800X480, RAM: 256 and android 2.2 OS.
