Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders, finally shines at the IPL 5 final by defeating two times defending champion Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets. It was the jubilant atmosphere both in the players and the owner after the hard work of 54 days. The Riders chased 191 and finished the game in just two balls to spare.

Manvinder Bisla’s outstanding performance in the final was praised by everyone. Bisla hit 89 runs out of 48 balls which includes 5 sixes. He was dismissed by Albie Morkel slower ball when 52 were needed to win. The partnership of Manvinder Bisla and Jacques Kallis made 136 runs in just 82 balls.
In the last two overs, the Knight Riders needed 20 runs. Ben Hilfenhaus made out Kallis with a full-toss. Shakib Al Hasan hit a boundary at the last of Hilfenhaus over for four when KKR just needs nine of the last over. Consecutive boundaries from Manoj Tiwary gave a joyous moments to Shah Rukh Khan’s franchise with two balls to spare.
Gautam Gambhir, the captain of KKR said that it was a mission accomplished, especially thanked the fans of Kolkata who supported the team even in the tough situation.
Man of the match Manvinder Bisla was very happy on his playing part.
Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal chief minister congratulated the team for winning the IPL first time and defeating the two time champion CSK.
