Importance of Hindi Language

Constitutional Provisions
Under Article 343(1) of the Constitution of India, Hindi is the official language of the Union. However, after the passage of the Official Languages Act (1963), it was provided that English would continued indefinitely for all official works. In the states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi, Hindi is declared as the official language.

Since most of the nations have diplomatic relations with India and making business partner to the latter, so, it has become necessary for them to know about the language. The employment opportunity in Hindi is immense both at the National as well International as levels. There is no as such dearth of jobs for the suitable persons in media industry who have good calibre in the language. They have good placement in Television channels, Hindi Newspapers, Magazines, Journals, Tabloids, etc. as Anchors, News reader, Editors, Reporters, Correspondents, Sub-Editors, Proof Readers and so on. After the emergence of FM radio, the demand of effective Hindi personnel's as Anchors and Radio Jockey has increased many times. They can also employed in the film industry as Script writer, dialogue writer, etc.

Hindi Translation is the important section in the government organisations. Many departments, organisations, bodies, of Government of India hired suitable Hindi persons for different posts like Hindi Officer, Junior Hindi Officer, Hindi Translator, Junior Hindi Translator, Hindi Assistant, Manager, etc. For all these jobs, the Degree or Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication is an added advantage. MA and Ph.D. in the discipline has another leverage.
