Manoj Bajpai’s father Shahid Khan once worked at a colliery owned by Ramadhir Singh. Manoj’s  father wanted to take revenge from Ramadhir Singh that continued from generation to generation. Manoj Bajpai, the most feared man ofWasseypur took lead to take vengeance from Ramadhir Singh. The small town of Wasseypur experienced nasty fights between Shahid  Khan and Ramadhir Singh that is further lead by Manoj Bajpai. All that happened due to coal mafiadom and scrap coal trading.

The music has been composed by Sneha Khanwalker and Piyush Mishra. The lyrics have been compiled by Varun Grover and Piyush Mishra.
