Shammi Kapoor born in 1931 in Mumbai. He made his Bollywood debut in 1953 with Jeevan Jyoti.
The word ‘Yahoo’ of Jungleee film is everlasting and always be remembered by generations to generations. The evergreen hero won his first Filmfare award in 1968 for Bramhachari and award for Best Supporting Actor for Vidhaata in 1982.
His hits and successful movies are Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Junglee, Dil Tera Diwana, China Town, An Evening in Paris, Professor, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, Vidhaata, China Town, Andaz, Rajkumar, Bramhachari, Kashmir Ki kali, Bluff Master, Singapore, Boy friend, and Teesri Manzil.
The veteran actor directed movies like Manoranjan, and Bundal Baaz.
As far as dancing is concerned, he ruled the Hindi movie industry from the late fifties to early seventies. Due to uniqueness in dancing rhythm, he was known as Elvis Presley of India.
He was seen with Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar in 2011 which was itself a blockbuster. Shammi Kapoor leave behind a son Aditya Raj Kapoor and had a daughter Kanchan. He died on 14 August 201.
Jagjit Singh born on 8th February, 1941 in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Jagjit Singh was India’s ghazal king, a most successful ghazal singer and composer of all the time, died at the age of 70.
He was the prominent Ghazal singer along with his wife Chitra Singh, not only in India but across the world too. He was known for singer, music director and composer in the film industry. He recorded 80-albums and made a synergy of western ghazal instruments with the Indian traditional ones. His life drastically changed after the death of his son Vivek, who died tragically at the age of 19.
He had sung in Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sindhi and Nepali. He had given music for the movies like Prem Geet, Arth, Saath Saath.
His important albums are the Unforgettable, Hope, In Search, Insight, Mirage, Visions, Galaxy, Love is Blind, Chirag, Sajda, Marasim, Face To Face, Aaeena, Cry For Cry.
He was awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2003 and also glittered with so many awards.
He farewell to the music and Ghazal fraternity on 10 October, 2011.
Dev Anand born in 26 September, 1923 in Gurdaspur District of British Punjab. He was a versatile and evergreen hero of India Cinema.
He was known for actor, writer, producer and director in the film industry. He made so many hits films under the banner of Navketan Films.
He has acted more than 114 films. His first break was ‘ Hum Ek Hain in 1946. Some of his Blockbusters are Vidya, Jeet, Shair, Afsar, Nili, Do Sitare, Sanam, Ziddi, Baazi, Taxi Driver, Nau Do Gyarah, Paying Guest, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Guide, Jewel Thief, Johny Mera Naam, Prem Pujari, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, banarasi Babu, Chhupa Rustam, Heera, Des Pardesh,etc.
The evergreen hero was conferred with so many national and Internal awards. He was awarded with Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002.
He died on 3rd December, 2011in London.
